WHAT DOES MAEVE MEAN?

Maeve is my daughter’s middle name.  Eliza Maeve, my 3rd child. Maeve means, “the cause of great joy”.  I named my photography business after her for two reasons. 1. Because my hope is to capture all of your joyous moments, all the moments that cause joy for you personally.  2. Because after having Eliza, I had suffered PPD/A. It was one of the worst times of my life, but it also helped me rediscover myself & the things I’m passionate about & photography will always be at the top of my list of things that give me joy!

DO YOU SHOOT WEDDINGS?

EDITED:: YESSSS!!!! For so long I declined weddings because of the season of life we were in, but I’m officially taking on weddings for the 2020-2021 season!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Being a former fashion blogger, I have a lot of helpful insight on what to wear on the day of your shoot.  I have an entire Pinterest page set aside for my clients to browse and get ideas. I can also create your very own style board to help put your mind at ease for your photoshoot.

Muted tones, complimentary colors, layers + fabrics that allow movement/flow. Avoid bright colors, busy patterns and matching outfits.  Ultimately, wear something that makes you feel confident, comfortable and most like you!

WHAT IF MY KIDS WON’T ENGAGE?

Totally ok!  A lot of kids can be shy or not be down for posing for photos (mine are the poster children for this!) which is why I won’t be trying to pose them but focusing on capturing the moments of you guys hanging out and loving on one another.

WILL YOU POSE US?

I personally love stepping back and capturing people in their element, interacting with each other in their most natural way.  Don’t worry though, I won’t leave you feeling awkward and unsure of what’s happening. I’ll definitely be suggesting something to do to encourage movement or fun interactions.  Think of it less as a photoshoot and more of me coming to hang with you all while documenting the lovely season you’re in. I’m there to capture your unique story in a beautiful and authentic way.

WHAT’S THE RAIN PLAN?

We can reschedule to a date that works for you or we can embrace the rain, splash around and shoot as planned!

SHOULD OUR HOME BE SPOTLESS IF I SCHEDULE AM IN HOME SESSION?

Only if that’ll make you feel more at ease but I definitely understand and am more than ok if there are messes, believe me…I have them in my home too!  If it helps you plan, rooms I am drawn to photograph in are bedrooms because they’re so cozy and any other area in your home that gets beautiful light streaming through!

CAN YOU PHOTOSHOP US?

I like to keep the images as true to you as possible, so I do not alter the appearance of anyone from my sessions with photoshop.

WHEN WILL MY PHOTOS BE READY?

Turnaround is four weeks for a lifestyle shoot & 8 weeks for a wedding. If you need your photos quicker, please let me know ahead of time so I can discuss your options for a quicker delivery date.

HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?

First off, YAY! Can’t wait to chat! Next, you can go ahead and fill out the form on my Contact page, and then I will be in contact with you. I require a 50% deposit to lock in your session date two weeks prior to the shoot.
